This new Oklahoma plate design features a red background, the slogan "Imagine That" at the bottom, and a large white star with the number 46 in the center. The format consists of six characters separated by the star. Interestingly, this simplified design had already been used previously as a personalized license plate.

The Oklahoma license plates introduced in September 2024 include many symbolic details. The red background color and the star with the number 46 come from the flag used by the state of Oklahoma between 1911 and 1925. At the bottom of the new Oklahoma license plate there are several meaningful illustrations: on the left, a buffalo, representing the thousands of these animals living in the state; next, a wind turbine, since Oklahoma was one of the leading wind energy producers in 2024. Then appears the Skydance Bridge followed by the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Above, a red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) flies over the skyline. On the right side of the Oklahoma license plate (since 2025), the iconic Route 66 sign and the Pops Restaurant are depicted, famous for its artistic giant soda bottle sculpture. Next, the Sacred Rain Arrow statue in Tulsa is shown. Finally, the plate includes the monumental Golden Driller, also located in Tulsa.
